Class notation for a Vapour Control System.

Purpose

To ensure safety of a vapour control system during loading with the return of vapour (VOC) to the terminal in compliance with MARPOL Annex VI for terminals that require such installations.

Benefits

The notation ensures that the vessel is suitable for load with vapour return for terminals that require this as part of MARPOL Annex VI requirements to such systems.

Features

This class notation covers the requirements of IMO MSC/CIRC. 585 and MARPOL Annex VI.

The notation require: Safe venting of vapour and vapour capacity, pressure alarms in vent system to avoid vapour release, as well as overflow control systems with an alarm.
