Japanese ECDIS maker Tokimec has obtained the EC wheelmark type examination certificate for its EC-7500 and EC-7000 Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems from DNV.

The two systems are the company's latest versions and feature AIS target and navigational information overlay on TFT screens that are 586mm on the EC-7500 and 483mm on the EC-7000. Both systems can interface with Tokimec's Track Control System and Heading Control System PR-6000 series, which themselves are undergoing type approval by DNV Software.
