The London Committee, under Chairman David R.Peel

Currently, the committee is working on a standard for shipboard LNG cargo operators. This is part of the series of standards of competence being developed by DNV SeaSkill to meet the requirements of the maritime industry. Each individual standard is meant for application on a specific onboard or on-site job. In addition to the standard being currently developed, the London Committee will continue to look at other standards related to operation of tankers.

The London Committee is part of DNV SeaSkill's global network of committees, the others being in Oslo, Miami, Rotterdam, Mumbai, Manila and Singapore. Their purpose is to provide advice on the development of standards of competence for the maritime industry. DNV SeaSkill is a unit of Maritime Solutions, and is part of DNV's strategic focus on improving the performance of the human element in our industry.
