DNV has more than doubled its container ship order book in 2001.

DNV started the year with some 50 ships of 109,000 TEUs in operation. With deliveries and ships on order, there are now close to 100 ships (of more than 240,00 TEUs) to DNV Class.

About 50% are newbuildings and 50% class entries on delivery. Nearly all ships will be included in DNVs Container EXPRESS programme.
