The DNV-classed fleet is growing steadily reaching 5,000 vessels (ships and MOUs).

This is 124 more vessels than at the end of 2001 and a total of almost 92 million grt.
We are growing according to plan, both in grt and market share, says Ragnar Hansen, director for marketing and profiling in DNV. The order book now stands at 12.8 million gross tonnes, 20.3% of all ships on order. Many of the new ships already in DNV class are so-called high-value ships such as offshore support vessels and cruise lines.
