Oceaneering AS and DNV have entered into a joint venture agreement and established the new company ARGUS RTM AS.

A number of recent accidents have shown the need for better information about the strength degradation of ship and offshore hull structures due to corrosion.

ARGUS RTM AS will provide new inspection service capability to shipping, offshore oil and gas and other maritime markets utilising a unique combination of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Resonance Thickness Measurement (RTM) technology.

DNV contributes an exclusive license to a technology, which permits underwater inspections without the need to remove marine growth or corrosion products.

Oceaneering AS (a subsidiary of Oceaneering International, Inc.) provides technical and operational expertise in designing, building and operating ROV systems and is committed to provide capital.
