The world is turning ever faster for operators of oil tankers.

John Lyng, Director of Tanker Marketing, DNV Maritime Industry.
old vessels = old regulations - new vessels = new regulations.
The forces have changed. Most new regulations are today results of public opinion placed upon the industry by putting pressure on the politicians.
We are in the midst of implementing the latest ones:
" the amended MARPOL 13G from IMO
" the latest initiatives from EU.
More are looming on the horizon: prohibition of TBT in coating, and regulations for ballast water exchange.
It is now, more than ever, important that all of us in the industry work together to meet the expectations placed upon us.
