A few comments
- Regarding the rules for Steel Sandwich Panels: Verification of compliance with the Society’s rules shall be demonstrated by using the elaborated requirements stated in Classification Note No. 30.11.
- In addition to introducing the new Battery Power notation, the new rules for Battery Systems found in Pt. 6 Ch. 28 also cover new technology used in battery systems.
- The new BMON survey scheme has been introduced in order to limit the impact on the vessel’s commercial operations by allowing more flexibility in the way the survey/inspection is carried out.
- The customized survey regime for Great Lake Bulk Carriers allows the renewal survey to be postponed for 12 months.
