For aircraft, rockets, satellites … DNV develops SOFTWARE PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

Risk assessment of hull loss probability during landing and take-off
Airline safety is, amongst other factors, dependent the ability to assess and prioritise risk factors. DNV has, in co-operation with Avinor and four airline companies, developed a risk assessment model for quantifying aircraft hull loss probability during the landing and take-off operations at airport.
Safely reducing cost
Avinor is responsible for the operation of 46 airport in Norway as well as for providing the country’s Air Traffic Management (ATM) services. As a part of the cost-cutting programme “Take-Off-05”, Avinor commissioned DNV to conduct an independent evaluation of consequences to flight and employee safety. The result from this work have helped Avinor in safely reducing costs.
